The last 72 hours have been incredibly difficult for our members and startups caught up in the SVB crisis. In the short-term, the situation has settled. The questions now surfacing are around what happens from here and how will the ripple effects hit the banking (and entrepreneurial) ecosystems.
Join us at 4 pm ET tomorrow (March 14th) as we take a deeper look into how the FDIC are saving the banks and what has happened in similar situations before. We’ll be joined by Bob Baucum who spent 32 years working at the FDIC overseeing bank receivership. Whilst at the FDIC, Baucum would be onsite during the first day of bank receivership to go through the financials of failed banks, including splitting assets and liabilities between the FDIC and an assuming bank.
He’s walking us through the ramifications for those who bank with SVB and the industry as a whole, along with his thoughts on how we can best navigate what lies ahead.
